Chic chac...as I know it

Posted on March 1, 2011 at 05:09:49 PM by Jim

Tony...I don't think I'm wrong on this, but I was always told a chic chac is thrown when--usually--a player throws a sidearm forehand, with undercut and spin, so as to come off the front wall, clear the opponent(s), hit the FLOOR first, very near the back wall, THEN hit the back wall, then the floor again, so as not to be returnable. I think you actually have the concept of a chic chac wrong. The chula, you have right...back wall, near the crack, and comes so with no bounce, or hardly any bounce, almost unreturnable.
